Utah Valley University’s School of the Arts will present its 13th annual Short Attention Span Theatre March 27-29. The evening will feature 10-minute plays written, directed and acted entirely by students from the Department of Theatrical Arts for Stage & Screen.

“Our motto is ‘If you don’t like this one, wait 10 minutes,’” said James Arrington, faculty adviser and department chair. “This program really showcases the best of our students and the best of their work.”

Performances are chosen from plays created by students in the department’s playwriting class. Students are assigned to act as directors. This year’s program will include four dramas and four comedies:

Ÿ-“Between the Pages” by Chantel Ficklin

Ÿ-“Guidance Program” by Teressa Thomas

-“God is Great” by Jared Bridegan

Ÿ-“Through the Lens” by Ramon Brown

Ÿ -“Mobsters” by Trevor Newsome

Ÿ -“Mad, Mad Love” by Robert Plate

Ÿ  -“Rank” and “Tax Dollars at Work” by Daniel Paredes

Evening performances will be held in the ExBox Theatre, located in room 627 of the Gunther Technology Building at 7 p.m., with additional performances at 9 p.m. on March 28-29.

Tickets are available at uvu.edu/arts or by calling 801-863-7529 (PLAY).
