Utah Valley University is the first stop on MTV’s multi-city Campus Invasion Tour that kicks off Sept. 25 at 7 p.m. at the UCCU Center, UVU’s events center. Headlining the event organized by the University’s Student Association is 30 Second to Mars, led by actor Jared Leto. Also performing is Provo’s own Neon Trees and the band New Politics.

The event also includes a fully integrated and executed sponsor activation village with make-overs, Rock Band competition, a rock climbing wall, a photo picture station, and MTV U casting calls for MTV programs.

“Utah Valley University is gaining more exposure not only in Utah but also around the nation, and around the world,” said Richard Portwood, student body president at the University. “The fact that MTV chose UVU as one of their five college campuses to do their Campus Invasion Tour says a lot about our national recognition as an up-and-coming university. We are overly excited to host the kick-off of the MTV Campus Invasion Tour right here on our campus.”

Tickets are available at the UCCU Center box office and Smithtix at 800-888-8499. General admission is $25, UVU students with ID are $15 per ticket, or $25 for a UVU student two-ticket package. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the event kicks off at 7 p.m.
