The UVU Multicultural Center and African Club will host a benefit concert for the Ssejinja Children’s Foundation Monday, Nov. 23. All proceeds from the concert, entitled “Sunrise Over Africa”, will benefit the Children’s Clinic in Bira, Uganda, with the purchase of medical and maternity equipment.

Pat Arp, Voice of Africa, Spencer Pettit, Jeanne Madsen and the Voice of Children’s Musical Group will be performing. There will also be professional photo sittings with Santa Claus available for the holidays at $10 a sitting.

The concert will take place in the UVU Ballroom, from 6-8 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students, $12 for members of the community and $25 for a family of five. For those interested in helping who are unable to attend the benefit concert, donations can be made through http://www.ssejinja.org.
