Academic Standings and Holds

Hello Advisors

Academic Standings for summer 2015 have been run.  Holds have been placed for Dismissal, Suspension, Continued Probation and Probation. Warning holds will be placed next week.

Please remember DO NOT remove Continued Probation, Continued Suspension, Suspension or Dismissal holds.  We will take care of those holds.  Please still work with your students to discuss plans for success even if you cannot remove their hold. There are many good resources for academic success on our Learning Strategies site (please visit link below). Academic Standards will remove their PC, AS, AD, CS holds.

Academic Standards has recently added a new position.  Academic Support Counselor.  Lisa Williamson has joined our office to fill that position and we are thrilled! We will be in touch to give you more information on how you can use this counselor for your students.

Thank you for all you do for our students!  We can work together the help them find success!

Admissions Counselor Contact Information

Hello Advisors!

As Admissions Counselors, we want to make you aware of our contact information for anyone needing help with the admissions process this coming year. As you know, the Admissions and Prospective Student Services offices combined this past year. With this came a title change from Recruiters to Admissions Counselors. This also provided us with the ability to work with students through the entire process, from first contact at a high school to being admitted at UVU. The Admissions Office receives thousands of phone calls, emails, and student drop-ins each month, so we’re excited to provide some additional support.

As we begin our high school tour this fall, students and counselors will know us as their point of contact for UVU. If you or your students have questions with the admissions process you are welcome to contact any of us below. While we have specific areas we are responsible for, we are happy to help any student who needs assistance. Also, if you feel there is important department information you would like us to be aware of when speaking to prospective students, don’t hesitate to let us know. Our goal is to provide students interested in UVU with the most up-to-date, important information when making the decision to become a Wolverine.

Fun Course Still Available for Fall

Hello everyone! Please print the attached flyer and let your students know about EGDT 1050 – Introduction to 3D Printing. This is a new pilot course not listed in the catalog which is being offered this fall as a 1st Block evening course. If your students are looking for a fun course to add and want to explore 3D printing, then tell them about this course. There are still plenty of spots available.

Additional NOTE on the EGDT 1050 – Introduction to 3D Printing course: It originally had a prerequisite (it no longer does), but they didn’t get it removed in time. If anyone wants to add this course, please forward their names and UVIDs to me and I will add an override. Thank you.

The Chrome issue and Wolverine Track appears to be solved.  Chrome pushed out an upgrade over the last several days.

If you are still having problems loading an audit in Chrome, check to see if you have the latest upgrade by clicking on the three lines in the right hand corner of a Chrome webpage and selecting “about Google Chrome”.

The newest version should be version 44.0.2403.155.  Please let me know if you are still experiencing issues.
