Good Afternoon!

Academic Standings and holds have been for Suspension, Continued Probation, and Probation. We are waiting another week to run the holds for Academic Warning. If you would like a list of your students who have been placed on the various standings, please email Amy Baird at amy.baird@uvu.edu. Let me know what major code you advise for and I will get you a list sorted by standing.

Have a great day!

FYI – CANVAS Learning Management System (Replacement for Blackboard)

The new CANVAS Learning Management System is up and running properly, but registration events are currently severely backlogged. Unfortunately, in some cases this backlog is causing delays of 24-48 hours in student access and enrollment in the CANVAS system. We are currently working with UEN and Instructure to resolve these issues as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition.

In the meantime, students may wish to take the following steps:

If you are using Canvas in support of a regular main campus course, double check with your instructor to ensure that Canvas is being used to support the course and that the course has been “Published” (made available) to students.

If you are trying to access an online course, double check your student schedule to ensure that you are properly enrolled. As long as your course appears on UVlink, you should have access to Canvas within a day or two.

Again we apologize for the inconveniences currently occurring, but we expect that once fully implemented, Canvas will feature an end user experience that is far superior to that of our previous system.

Again, we appreciate your patience and understanding.
